SOLD Authentic Vintage Chanel 2.55 classic black jersey shoulder bag circa 1994-96

Since its original launch back in Feb 1955 (hence the 2.55 name) the 2.55 is one of Chanel's best selling and highly sought after styles. At vintage heirloom its the most requested style - I cannot stress how hard it is to find genuine vintage 2.55 classic flap bags in both jersey and lambskin leather, these lovely bags are quickly snapped up once these bags are sold they are gone! This timeless vintage classic handbag features the characteristic Chanel double flap in black jersey with gold hardware, mademoiselle turnstile C lock and movable chain straps. Did you know the 2.55 classic that was first launched in 1955 was originally jersey? Jersey was for day time use and the lamb skin leather was made for evening use. Double flap opening with internal pocket, and outer back pocket. Classic gold chain strap that is movable that can be worn doubled up or cross body/off shoulder style.

This bag does have signs of use. The corners of the jersey flap are worn and the back plate of the turnstile lock is missing.  However the turnstile lock is still in good working order even with the back plate missing, and the double CC turnstile lock is in good condition and is firmly fixed in to the bag (it won't fall off even with out a back plate) and the gold chain is very good condition. Generally the jersey is in very good condition no moth damage or stains just the corners are gently worn. Inside the lining is clean and in excellent condition, and the zip pockets work fine. Although the bag has signs of usage - this makes the bag even more vintagey in feel with a sense of history and obviously loved by its previous owner (if it could talk what fabulous parties did it go to??). Overall a lovely classic 2.55 bag and would be a great first time classic flap bag purchase! This bag comes with its original Chanel box, serial sticker in bag: 3436314 but Chanel dust bag and Chanel authenticity card is missing but bag does come with a complimentary Vintage Heirloom dust bag.
