Vintage Coach mustard duffel sac bag, circa 1990s
Gorgeous lovely yellow mustard colour. Lovely large deep ‘duffel sac’ style shape with thick adjustable leather strap. The duffel sac bag design has been around since the 1970s, a classic bag shape that does not date and is still in production today - described as a “wonderful, floppy, squashable, unconstructed shape in magnificent glove tanned cowhide” - Coach advert from 1973. I think this is such a great ‘every-day’ bag its a fab large size, with a great colour, when it was launched it was instant hit with fashion editors not only is it practical bag but also stylish.
Condition of the bag is good, there are signs of gentle wear especially the bottom of the bag and along the edges of the bag and bag strap. Inside the bag is clean with small pouch pocket. The strap is long enough so the bag can be worn over the shoulder, straps has rivets so length is adjustable. Zipper opening bag. Model identification number: G7D 9953. Great sturdy and good condition leather.
