Vintage Chanel 2.55 and boater charm necklace circa 1990-92
I am extremely excited to have found this rare piece, a fun vintage necklace with Chanel style charms. Choker style necklace (comes high up on the neck) with 6 large charms, including: beret, 2.55 classic bag, tie, bow, Ms Chanel and a straw boater. All these charms have signficance to the house of Chanel, the 2.55 bag being Chanel's most iconic bag and the straw boater in reference to Chanel's first business in hat making which started her fashion line. The charms are attached on a gold chain with lobster clasp opening. This same necklace showed up recently as part of the actress the late Elizabeth Taylor's estate at Christie's auction in NY in December last year. The same necklace went for a whopping $13,750USD!! But luckily this necklace does not cost nearly as much and is a bit more affordable but also note this necklace was not owned by Elizabeth Taylor (sorry! would be great story though!!).
This necklace is in excellent condition and comes in its own original presentation box.
