Summer style

Recently we went to the Kent coast for our Easter getaway. We stayed in a quaint gatekeeper's cottage built in 1750 set in the most beautiful grounds near Broadstairs. Who knew the Kent coast was so beautiful? I think it helped we had the most amazing sun-drenched weather which made the UK look like the Mediterranean! We visited Margate (on the advice of blogger Kirsty at Labelsforlunch ) a must see is the mysterious Shell Grotto and Turner gallery on the seafront. I also suggest a wander down King Street in Margate for some cool retro vintage shopping as well as some amazing independent boutiques. Other places to mention and worth a visit is Viking beach in Broadstairs, offering a clean sandy beach perfect for kids and families. And grab a spot of lunch in Deal (a few miles down) a pretty seaside resort with a lovely Pier.

As I was on holiday - I needed a summer wardrobe too! I love this Taenia dress in Poppy print by Tria The Label, which is a label I recently discovered on Instagram. I love the bright colourful print - which reminds me of Marni. This Singaporean label, hand make to order and all the pieces are uniquely designed with great attention to detail. I teamed my dress with a vintage 70s Levis jacket and Chanel brooch and vintage Chanel red tassel bag.

I love in particular the back slit of this dress, giving this a very 60's style. And the cute bow detail in the back.

My holiday was also a good opportunity to take this Dior bag out for a spin. This bag was my 2nd luxury rental from Uncloset.

This Dior bag is a bag I have long coveted but I was never sure if the boxy style suited me and I wasn't sure if the 'hand-held' style would be me? However, the handle was very ergonomic to hold and the large size was perfect. As it is structured, I found that it held a lot of things and kept things upright - it is a great work to date bag!

This Syren skirt I am wearing...was love at first sight! Another great piece by Tria The Label. The fish tail, mid length style is very flattering for curvy women like me! I loved the way the skirt 'swished' as I walked.

I teamed the skirt with a cashmere sweater and Toga Pulla boots and a vintage Chanel navy crossbody bag.
